“English Teaching” awarded European Language Label

The “English Teaching” program founded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and managed by the “Nida” Development Foundation was awarded the European Language Label – prestigious European quality certificate in language teaching.

The certificate is awarded for innovative methods of teaching and promoting methodological and didactic achievements. In Poland it has been awarded since 2001.

The objective of the competition is to develop skills in language and intercultural communication of foreign language students, motivate to learn foreign languages and shape the attitude of self-studying, improve professional competence of foreign language teachers, raise awareness of cultural and language diversity of Europe and the world and the need of intercultural dialogue, and promote multilingualism and learning several foreign languages.

The key criterion of language project assessment is its innovativeness in finding new ways in foreign language teaching that help better develop communicative language skills or meet the needs fully and complement the students’ lack of competence.

The 16th ELL competition awarded the most interesting and innovative foreign language teaching and learning projects. This year there were 46 projects in the competition. The Competition Committee chaired by Prof. Hanna Komorowska awarded four of them, including one in the special category to mark the 30th anniversary of “Erasmus+” program.

The winners of the 16th ELL round are three institutions:
