During the winter break, students may implement an educational project developed on their own in a selected fields of science, culture or sports, go to a village or a small town (of up to 20,000 residents), and inspire children and young people to get involved, look for their passions, learn through play. At the same time students can creatively spend their time with friends in some most beautiful spots of Poland.
How to start?
It is enough to get together a team of 2-3 students, develop an idea of educational project, register it on app.projektor.org.pl, select an educational institution shown on the “PROJECTOR’s Map”, arrange the dates with that institution, and go on a free five-day winter break different from usual.
How much is it?
The program will pay back the cost of travel and materials needed for the project, while the school will provide accommodation and meals for the volunteers, and often also access to attractions in the region.
A project implemented during the winter break shall last for 5 days, 5 hours a day. The rest of time the students can spend enjoying local attractions. Apart from an opportunity to visit spots in Poland unknown to them, the volunteers get and practice skills such as team work, creativity, work with a group, public speaking, time management, communicativeness, organization, and planning.
Who is that offer addressed to?
The winter break with “PROJECTOR” offer is addressed to active students who are willing to improve their skills and want to help their young friends through broadening their horizons, and inspiring them to learn and develop themselves. That offer for winter break is also for those who are not afraid of new initiatives.
How to register?
Schools, libraries, communal cultural centers, and day-care centers in villages and small towns of up to 20,000 residents can declare their desire to host volunteers on app.projektor.org.pl. What is the “PROJECTOR – Student Volunteers” Program?
It is a nationwide social program where students-volunteers apply their energy and interests to create and implement educational projects for children and young people from villages and small towns with population of up to 20,000, that inspire them to develop, learn and look for their passions. And at the same time, the students get certificates as well as experience valued on the job market.
The objective of the “PROJECTOR – Student Volunteers” Program is to combine children’s joy and student’s passion in implementation of educational projects. The program gives the space to creative acting for those students whose attitudes show that learning is not only interesting but is also the best way of building one’s future. The program effectively links school and academic environments and allows them to share their experience, and inspire each other.
