Thanks to PAII, Polish students who do best at their universities can do their summer internships in the USA, in renowned American corporations. The internships last from 2 to 3 months, and the interns are paid for their work. Students do not have to cover any costs when they participate in the program – the organizers pay for their trip and help students to obtain visa. During their internship, the students gain valuable professional experience and have an opportunity to use their knowledge gained at university.
The internship offers for 2018 come from renowned corporations – Raytheon Corporation and Scripps Networks Interactive. They are addressed to students of technical faculties – such as engineering, informatics, logistics, and economic ones – such as economics, management, marketing and new media. A total of 12 people will go to the USA as interns.
Eligible to participate in the program are students of at least second year of a full-time university course, fluent in English, performing very well at university, and involved in social activity. In particular, encouraged to participate are those who already take part in Bridge Scholarships and “Projector – Student Volunteers” Programs.
The recruitment to the program is on-line. The deadline for applications submitted on-line for internships in Raytheon is November 15, and in Scripps Networks Interactive – December 15. More information and detailed internship offers can be found on: www.paii.pl.
The Polish-American Internship Initiative is a joint project of The Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw. It is also supported by the Trade and Investment Promotion Section (WPHI) of Polish Embassy in Washington. That initiative is managed by Educational Enterprise Foundation in cooperation with companies and corporations offering internships. Since 2011 there were seven rounds of PAII, under which 87 Polish students did their internships in American firms and gained invaluable professional experience.
