The third edition of the “TAU for Community” project has been launched. The project is implemented as part of the “Third Age Universities – Seniors in Action” competition. For the next dozen of months, ten Third Age Universities, supported by PAFF, will establish and develop groups of volunteers and social activists.
The inaugural workshops of the 3rd edition of the “TAU for the Community” project, part of the “Third Age Universities – Seniors in Action” Program, took place in Warsaw on November 5-8, 2015. The classes offered during the first workshops helped the participants find in themselves the potential to carry out social activities and prepare them to organize a group of volunteers at their TAU. There was also enough time for integration and rest during the relaxation exercises.
The “TAU for the Community” offers support in creation and development of volunteers and social activists groups within the structure of the Third Age Universities. The TAUs from the following cities and towns participate in the present edition: Giżycko, Łańcut, Łódż, Międzychód, Przemyśl, Ryki, Starogard Gdański, Szklarska Poręba, Wodzisław Śląski and Żary.
The previous editions of the project were participated by 20 TAUs, which have organized the groups of volunteers that carried out various actions for their local communities as well as intergenerational and self-assistance projects.
