The objective of the competition is to support projects carried out by non-governmental organizations aimed at developing the following abilities in young people:
- the ability to assess correctly their neighborhood by engaging young people in the process of getting to know their local environment and analyzing their own strong and weak points;
- the ability to plan independently their own future through their participation in drawing up the aims and schedule of the project as well as analyzing its results; also through learning some practical sills useful in achieving their life goals;
- the ability to win civic support through establishing new social relations (both with people and institutions) and improving their ability to work in a team;
- self-confidence through presenting in public their activities and their results, participation in campaigns popularizing the project and giving them a chance (thanks to their participation in the project) to achieve a personal success.
Eligible to apply for grants of up to PLN 40,000 lasting up to 15 months are non-governmental organizations from rural areas and small towns with up to 20,000 residents.
The Competition consists of two stages – the diagnosis of the local environment and preparation of a plan of activities slated to last 15 months.
