The objective of the Learning School’s Academy of Educational Leaders (ALO SUS) is to develop skills of educational leadership focused on student’s key competencies. It’s a form of professional training for principals and school leaders aimed at improvement of their skills.
ALO SUS is addressed to educational leaders in Mazowieckie and Świętokrzyskie provinces. It is the free-of-charge three-semester course that starts in February 2018 and ends in November 2019.
The course program covers the following four thematic threads:
- educational leadership,
- key competencies in educational process,
- support for school and teachers in the area of key competencies,
- introducing a change in school.
The participants will be supported by university lecturers and qualified instructors, including practicians – school principals and teachers. The classes will be held for three semesters, in form of on-site lectures and workshops, and on-line studying. The students will be divided into small groups accordingly to their professional function.
The program is tailored to the needs of educational staff and constructed in such a way so as not to overlap with the participants’ professional activity.
Applications are accepted by February 15.
On March 15, the ceremony of the course inauguration shall take place at the Collegium Civitas.
The Learning School’s Academy of Educational Leaders is an initiative based on experiences of the Post-Graduate Studies for Educational Leaders, developed in the “Learning Schools” Program that has been run by the Center for Citizenship Education Foundation and the PAFF since 2000. Its objective is to improve the quality of Polish education using foreign best practices. By improving teacher skills, the program reaches schools in villages and small towns all over Poland. ALO SUS has obtained a grant from the Ministry of Education under the Knowledge, Education and Development Program.
