The Polish-American Freedom Foundation and University of Warsaw School of Education educates graduates as well as active teachers at four paths – Polish, math, history and social sciences, and biology and life sciences. Unlike traditional postgraduate courses, SE offers full-time studies under which students gain academic knowledge and have an opportunity to check it straightaway in practice at selected educational institutions.
Who can apply?
Every holder of MA degree in Polish, history, math or biology, as well as faculties related to biology and math, such as physics, IT, biotechnology or environmental protection can apply to School of Education. Also, eligible are teachers of these subjects with up to 10 years work experience. DETAILS
The course at SE is full-time, therefore it can’t be combined with the full time employment. For that reason, the students may expect significant support – the School of Education can award several dozen scholarships of PLN 2,000 a month. Over the past academic year, these scholarships were paid to 95% of all students. Most privileged to apply for a scholarship are students residing out of Warsaw; they can also apply for free accommodation in a single room at a UW residence hall.
What will a graduate of SE get?
The graduates get University of Warsaw diploma, teacher certificate and the guaranteed job offer. They are also covered by a two-year support program. The classes are held in the modern UW Ochota Campus close to Warsaw downtown.
Such a robust educational and scholarship offer for students is possible thanks to cooperation of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, University of Warsaw and the Foundation for Quality Education. The program has been developed in cooperation with experts of prestigious Columbia University Teachers College, New York.
