The slogan of this year’s round – “Change profit into good and good into profit. For the environment, for the community, for business” – refers to the impact the companies may have on their neighborhood.
The competition has been organized for over 25 years. Its main objective is to popularize and support development of partner cooperation of companies and NGOs, as well as promotion of companies and NGOs cooperation for the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals. Today, the significance of company social engagement is even bigger than it was 25 years ago. It becomes an element of a business strategy, and recently also a part of non-financial evaluation of companies based on ESG standards.
The categories which the companies can be nominated in reflect various social action areas and are as follows:
- Culture and education
- Local partnerships
- Environmental and climate protection
- Voluntary and charity aid
- Openness to diversity
- Healthy lifestyle
- Support for refugees and Ukraine,
- Employees volunteering.
Since 2023, the companies have also been awarded in a special category – “Business and NGOs good cooperation”, inspired by The Charter of Business and NGOs Good Cooperation Rules. The award will go to the enterprise that implements these rules to the greatest extent. The objective of that category is to collect model examples of partnership and show good practices in that area.
