During the Freedom Games which took place in Łódź on November 9-11, “Our Independent” Initiative presented selected projects implemented all over Poland to celebrate the Centenary of Regaining Independence by Poland.
“At the exhibition accompanying the Games we presented 19 out of almost 200 projects submitted to the Initiative,” says Paweł Mardoń, the President of “ROTA” Association. Among others, there were “Not-in-distance exploits” project implemented by the Landscape Association, portraits of the most famous Poles of the last centenary drawn by children from the No. 3 Public Pre-School in Głogów, breaking the record in simultaneous singing of the national anthem, or Łódź Faces of Independent Poland presented by Museum of Łódź.
“We had also an opportunity to boast our truck with the images of two great Poles – Tadeusz Mazowiecki and Władysław Bartoszewski, one of a dozen trucks taking part in the History Goes Round project. Moreover, we presented an open-air exhibition showing the remaining trucks with the images of the history of last 100 years and the eminent Poles, such as St. John Paul II, Józef Piłsudski, Lech Walesa, or Cavalry Captain Witold Pilecki,” Piotr Majcherek, the Secretary of “Our Independent” Initiative sums up.
