We would like to invite you to take part in the new round of School with Class 2.0, which this year is held under the Take School in Your Own Hands slogan. The initiative is addressed to schools - teachers, students and parents and its objective is to develop the school community’s cooperation and responsibility for the school neighborhood. The application deadline is on September 30.
The participants will be assisted over the difficult stage of introducing changes, which starts with team building, and goes on through assessing the school community needs and expectations, to finding new solutions, checking them on a constant basis and improving. In the case of School with Class, it is not the final effect of the all-year work that is the most important; what counts is each element of the process that engages teachers, students and parents, and initiates creative, sensible and conscious actions.
The School with Class 2.0 initiative accompanies schools in the process of planning and introducing changes aimed at improvement of their work quality. The participants receive educational tools, training sessions and a possibility to benefit from webinars.
The initiative has been implemented since 2002. For the last two years it has been based on design thinking (DT) method inspired by solutions applied by businesses and used by the School with Class Foundation in its cooperation with schools. DT helps build solutions based on needs.
School with Class 2.0 is a part of the “Learning Schools” Program, addressed to teachers and principals of all schools at all levels of education. So far it has been participated by almost 9,000 schools and almost 150,000 teachers. The program organizers are the School with Class Foundation, the Center for Citizenship Education Foundation, and Gazeta Wyborcza daily, while the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the Agora Foundation are the partners.
