The members of the Board of Directors of The Polish-American Freedom Foundation note with deep sadness the passing of Fred Bohen. Mr. Bohen served on the Board with distinction from 2003 to 2013, when he became Director Emeritus.
During that time, he served as Chairman of the Investment Committee, providing financial guidance and contributing his deep knowledge of nonprofit governance to support the Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to bolster civil society, democracy and a market economy in Poland, while equalizing opportunities for personal and social development and sharing the Polish experiences in transformation with other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
A true humanist and gentleman in the best sense of that term, he will be greatly missed.
