    Agnieszka Sienkiewicz-Gauer, Magdalena Różczka, Karolina Pilarczyk, Ilona Łepkowska are the winners of 15th round of the Charity Stars Plebiscite. The Special Award of “Twój Styl” magazine, the Plebiscite Main Partner, went to Karolina Bacia and Jakobe Mansztajn of Make Life Harder. The Honorary Charity Star was received by Katarzyna Glinka and Czesław Mozil.

    The awards were presented during the Charity Evening of Charity Stars held at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel on October 19. The hosts of the meeting were Karolina Gilon (POLSAT), Bartek Jędrzejak (TVN), and Piotr Wojdyło (TVP2).

    In NATURE AND ANIMALS PROTECTION category, supported by the Santander Foundation, the award went to professional drift driver Karolina Pilarczyk for active promoting the 1.5 percent campaign and activities of Psierociniec Foundation. Her full of determination and authenticity actions in social media resulted in 100,000 new followers of the shelter run by the Foundation. Thanks to her support and canvassing such stars as Przemysław Saleta, Radosław Majdan, and Krzysztof Głowacki it was possible to buy a piece of land for a new shelter. 

    In HEALTH category, supported by Przedsiębiorstwo Farmaceutyczne LEK-AM, the winner is Agnieszka Sienkiewicz-Gauer, who since 2023 has been an Ambassador of Elephants on the Balcony Foundation. The actress got involved in the 146 Families in Mourning social campaign dealing with the problem of suicides committed by children and young people. She has taken part in a debate on young people’s mental health condition, actively assists those in need, and encourages society to undersign the petition to the Ministry of Health to increase access to psychological and psychiatric first aid for children and young people.

    In CHARITY ASSISTANCE category, supported by Omenaa Foundation, the title of the Charity Star went to Ilona Łepkowska for many-year significant support that allowed to renovate and equip day center in Warsaw’s Praga for 50 children, and for continual and very effectively carried out campaigns of collecting necessary things, fundraising, and provision of services for charges of Joanna Radziwiłł Caring Wings Foundation. The scriptwriter constantly supports on a monthly basis the program Big Plate run by the Foundation, she funds food for the children, and responds to such needs as buying shoes or a washing machine, or help in renovating the kitchen for the families that are under the Foundation’s wings.

    In STARS FOR REFUGEES AND UKRAINE category, which the Polish-American Freedom Foundation is the partner in, the winner was journalist Jakub Strzyczkowski of Radio 357. For 30 years, he keeps showing that charity needs not be boring. Thanks to his listeners, in 2023 he managed to raise a record amount of PLN 1,886,530. The money went for psychological support for children and young people in Poland and Ukraine. This allowed to offer in 2024 therapy and therapeutical activities that often save lives to as many as 4,800 young people, charges of Santa Claus Foundation. 

    The title of the Charity Star in the AMBASSADORS OF SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT category, supported by Omenaa Foundation went to Magdalena Różczka for many-year of very effective work on developing social awareness of foster parenting, as well as engagement in numerous social campaigns and charity actions, and establishing her own foundation. For 10 years that actress has annually been making a unique calendar with well-known representatives of culture and arts and the income from its sale has been supporting Adoptive Families Foundation and FASada Diagnostic and Consultation Center. Nowadays, in cooperation with MAIO Foundation Magdalena Różczka is planning to open the Foster Family Support Home in Wrocław offering consultation, training, and therapeutic help. 

    Honorary Awards of the Plebiscite Chapter
    This year, the Plebiscite Chapter awarded two stars for their outstanding contribution to philanthropy and charity development.

    Actress Katarzyna Glinka have been supporting charity initiatives for years. In September 2023 she contacted Kasisi Foundation offering support for children at the biggest Children’s Home in Zambia. Taking advantage of her popularity, the actress promoted children’s food fundraising campaigns and the Christmas action. She has also decided to become a distant adoptive mother of a few months old Angel, securing the funds for her subsistence and education. In March 2024 she visited Children’s Home in Zambia to meet Angel and show her followers how their support changes the lives of the Home’s charges. Live reports from her visit carried out by her and Home director sister Mariola Mierzejewska helped to raise quite a big amount of money for the children. Thanks to the actress’s support, Kasisi Foundation got new donors and funds.

    Another winner of the Honorary Award is Czesław Mozil. That musician combines his popularity with his unique sensitivity to social problems. He cooperates with various foundations not only as a face of campaigns but also as an active member. He is outstanding in his actions for tolerance and equality. Czesław Mozil takes part in many social campaigns, such as We Are Breaking the Wall of Autism, and Disability Is Not One’s Choice, that point to problems faced by the disabled. He was the initiator of establishing Czesław Mozil’s Academy, which gives the children an opportunity to develop their vocal skills and perform on stage. His actions combine various generations and various social groups, following the idea of integration and mutual respect. He frequently visits children at their rehabilitation stays at Zabajka Center in Stawnica, and organizes concerts and meetings both for the young patients and their caregivers. Also, he is active in sports events organized by Fundacja Słoneczko, and infects all participants with his positive energy and enthusiasm.

    THE SPECIAL AWARD OF “TWÓJ STYL” MAGAZINE – the Plebiscite Main Partner – went to Karolina Bacia and Jakobe Mansztajn of Make Life Harder. For many years those content creators apart from news, ironic political comments, witty contents and memes, also have been heating up the Internet with charity actions they popularize and organize, or supporting adoptions of animals, or sharing appeals for help.

    About the Plebiscite

    Charity Stars is a plebiscite that for 15 years has been acknowledging and honoring Polish stars involved in charity and community work. It is organized by Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland and its objective is to promote pro-social attitudes among well-known people in culture, sport, media and show business. The idea of the Plebiscite is to award these well-known people who offer their time, popularity and advertising reach to do good and support those in need, also in cooperation with foundations and associations.

    Paweł Łukasiak, the President of Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland, says: ‘The Plebiscite not only awards charity actions of celebrities but also inspires the society to get more involved in helping people in need.  It is an important initiative that shows how powerful are the effects of combining the famous and philanthropy.
