Due to the difficult situation in Głuchołazy whose residents struggle with the flood effects, the “PROJECTOR” Program Team has launched immediate actions to support that local community. The crowdfunding campaign is on.
Many families have lost all their property during the flood, and the town struggles with serious problems, including blackout and shortages of potable water.
“No. 2 Elementary School in Głuchołazy joined the program in 2021 thanks to Magdalena Nogaj’s involvement. Since then, she has been an active participant and Ambassador of the ‘PROJECTOR’ program. Thanks to her close relations with students and the school, we keep in phone and Internet contact and can monitor the situation and the needs,” the “PROJECTOR” Program Director Kamil Wrzos explains.
Activities taken so far
Equipment support: The “PROJECTOR” Team has sent 20 fully charged power banks and bought additional 15 power banks with charging cables, which have been delivered to families with no access to electricity due to the flood.
Fundraising: the crowdfunding campaign is on, and the funds will be earmarked to buy school materials for students of No. 2 Elementary School in Głuchołazy.
You can support them directly
“We would also like to encourage you to pay money directly to the account of the Association Supporting the No. 2 Elementary School in Głuchołazy . The Association raises money for students, the flood victims. The money can be paid as “for the flood victims” at the account number:
27 1020 3714 0000 4102 0318 1195
“As Magdalena Nogaj appeals, the most needed are cleaning tools and products such as buckets, mops, rubber boots, as well as dehumidifiers for air and walls,” Kamil Wrzos says.
A serious problem is shortage of potable water, so water containers of about 30l capacity are needed. Also, school materials will be needed in the forthcoming days as many children have lost all their belongings and currently all they have are clothes they are wearing.
