The rally – this year organized under the slogan of Let’s Continue Our Dialogue – was attended by over 150 people, including over 40 leaders of the 19th round of the “PAFF Leaders” program, who were ceremoniously accepted to the alumni group of the program.
A participant was a semiotician of culture, Prof. Marcin Napiórkowski, who shared his knowledge on conclusions of scientific experiments describing people’s behavior and tools that can support leaders in their work with local communities. Next Olga Kaczmarek of the Forum of Dialogue Network told the rally participants about the way of running in Poland the conversation on multiculturalism and why it can result in broadening our horizons or on the contrary – only simulate our openness to meet the otherness.
A group of alumni was involved in organization of the rally, and they also conducted a number of workshops. Among them was Damian Piórko-Ziemba who organized an unusual class serving building relations and involving local community in acting by using gamification. Another of them, Janina Piwowarczyk, presented the idea of Living Library – a space for meeting discriminated people. In turn, Sandra Mazur spoke about effective advocating for your cause and at the same time looking for cooperation with various local groups. While Przemek Dziewitek invited to a workshop which allowed to answer the question if there are really such big differences between generations and how they impact cooperation.
The classes were also held by guests. Psychologist Joanna Szeluga introduced the rally participants into the world of Marshall Rosenberg who created a new attitude in communication based on the language of empathy. Konrad Sobczyk of New Community Foundation presented a training in good conversation which leads to mutual understanding of beliefs, opinions, and needs, while Filip Szatarski invited the participants to a workshop inspiring to act on the basis of developing your own imagination.
As every year, the rally was a big celebration of the program. It offered all participants a lot of joy, experience, opportunities to many conversations and hope for the next meeting in 2025.
