Recruitment for the 9th round of the Archipelago of Generations, a free online course on intergenerational practices, is open until March 12. The course is a part of the “Universities of the Third Age – Generations in Action” PAFF program and is managed by the Association of Creative Initiatives “ę”.
“Our goal is to promote the idea of social activity among older people and inspire intergenerational cooperation. Participants in the Archipelago of Generations course will gain access to valuable knowledge, educational materials, practical tools, and will they take part in inspiring meetings,” says Katarzyna Świątkiewicz, Program Officer at Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
The Archipelago of Generations course is addressed to:
- people involved in education and training,
- cultural animators,
- students of Third Age Universities,
- representatives of non-governmental organizations,
- people working in libraries and cultural institutions,
- people working in the community and involved in volunteering,
- anyone interested in initiatives that bring together different age groups.
The course participants will gain detailed, professional knowledge about intergenerational activities and their social benefits, as well as the opportunity to consult on their own ideas. They will also receive practical tools for planning and conducting intergenerational meetings and will develop a detailed action plan. They will work in teams, complete practical tasks, and exchange experiences. That will lead to the opportunity to implement a project in a group.
The course is free and lasts 6 weeks – from March 16 to April 26, 2026. Classes will be held online.
Registration is open until March 12.
The “Archipelago of Generations” course is a part of the “Third Age Universities – Generations in Action” program of Polish-American Freedom Foundation, managed by the Association of Creative Initiatives “ę”. Since 2020, over 500 people have completed the course.
