We would like to invite you to watch videos made by the “Study Tours to Poland” Program Team showing experiences of local governments in the area of education, security, waste management, infrastructure, as well as investment and economic development on the example of rural communes and municipalities cooperating with the program.
Launched in 2004 the “Study Tours to Poland” Program managed by the Leaders of Change Foundation is addressed to active students and professionals from Eastern Europe and other post-communist countries.
The objective of the program is to present reality of Poland and European Union and to establish and strengthen professional and personal contacts of young leaders from the East with their Polish hosts. Over the years 2004-2020 a total of over 10,000 people participated in the study tours, including 3,523 students and 6,804 professionals representing various milieus. Over 300 professionals and 200 students visited Poland annually.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions related to it, organization of study tours to Poland under the” STP” program was suspended in March last year. Since then, contact with interested people and program alumni (students and professionals) has been maintained in remote formula.
The Local Governments’ Way to Success is a series of videos made by the “Study Tours to Poland” Program Team showing experiences of local governments in the area of education, security, waste management, infrastructure, as well as investment and economic development on the example of the following rural communes and municipalities cooperating with the program: Długosiodło, Gościeradów, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Jabłonna near Lublin, and Wołomin. Representatives of local governments tell about their tasks and ways of implementing them, while “Study Tours to Poland” Program Director Mirosław Skórka is the narrator.
The videos were made in two language versions – Polish and Ukrainian. They are available on “STP” Program’s and Leaders of Change foundation’s YouTube channels. They are also presented during online meetings with students and professionals from the countries of the Region.
