    SECTOR 3.0
You have an impact – Sector 3.0 Festival. Agency in the world of AI

How can we build real agency in people and teams in a world of dynamic technological change? How can technology and artificial intelligence support the creation of stable and resilient organizational structures based on trust and shared decision-making? Experts at the Sector 3.0 Festival will discuss these and other topics related to shared responsibility and the development of future leaders. The event will take place on May 19–20 under the slogan “You Have an Impact.” Participation in the Festival is free of charge.

The Festival’s special guest will be Aleksander Kwaśniewski, President of Poland from 1995 to 2005. In a conversation moderated by Onet journalist Magdalena Rigamonti, topics such as how to build alliances that genuinely strengthen advocacy and increase the chances for change will be discussed, as well as whether artificial intelligence presents new opportunities or further complications.

“This year, we’ll discuss how to build real agency for individuals and teams in a world of dynamic technological change. We will explore how technology and artificial intelligence can support organizations in transitioning from hierarchy to shared responsibility and in designing smart, supportive processes,” says Dr. Dawid Szarański, director of the “Sector 3.0” program.

The group of invited experts include: Prof. Piotr Sankowski (University of Warsaw), Iwona Szylar (Microsoft), Marcin Meller (journalist), Vanessa Parli (The Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI), Dr. Marcin Napiórkowski, Professor at the University of Warsaw (Museum of Polish History), Dr. Ewa Woydyłło (Ph.D. in psychology and therapist), Dr. Otto Scharmer (MIT, Presencing Institute), Aleksandra Brzozowska (Ringier Axel Springer Polska), Jacek Santorski (Academy of Leadership Psychology), Małgorzata Kowalewska (Orange Foundation), Adam Wajrak (journalist and traveler), Agnieszka Szelągowska (Zbigniew Pełczyński School of Leadership), Jacek Siadkowski (Tech To The Rescue), Agnieszka Filipiak (Forbes Women, FemGlobal Association), and many others.

The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Mayor of Warsaw, and Kozminski University.

You have an impact. Agency in the world of AI

This year’s edition of the Sector 3.0 Festival, under the slogan “You have an impact,” is about agency in an era when we often hear that “nothing depends on us,” and technology and automation are set to take control of how we act, think, and make decisions. The intention of the organizers – the Information Society Development Foundation and the Polish-American Freedom Foundation – is to show that change does not always begin with grand decisions, but with everyday actions, conversations, and the courage to share responsibility.

Invited experts will discuss how to make responsible decisions and thereby initiate change, while simultaneously creating conditions for genuine agency across the entire team. The discussion will also cover the use of technology, including artificial intelligence, and above all, the proper selection of tools tailored to the specifics of the work and needs. Other topics will also be addressed, including:

    • shared responsibility – issues related to daily responsibility for the digital environment and work culture, encompassing conscious decision-making, building knowledge as a shared resource, and developing transparent communication and a feedback culture based on trust,
    • agents of change – topics concerning the preparation of individuals and organizations for dynamic changes, strengthening agency within teams (including those working in a hybrid model), and developing leadership understood as a process and a distributed competency, rather than merely a formal role,
    • collaboration with technology – issues related to the responsible and mindful use of digital tools, building teams that combine the potential of people and artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.

The festival will take a hybrid format: the first day will be held entirely online, while the second day will feature specialized workshops delving deeper into the topics discussed during the panel discussions. In total, participants can expect nearly 30 panels, expert discussions, and presentations, including five hours of live streaming and eight in-person workshops.

The event will take place at the CIC Warsaw Innovation Campus.

Meet the Winner of the Sector 3.0 Award for 2026

During the Festival, the Polish-American Freedom Foundation’s Sector 3.0 Award, worth PLN 40,000 will be presented.

“For 13 years, thanks to the PAFF Sector 3.0 Award, we have been able to recognize organizations that can effectively leverage the opportunities created by the dynamic development of technology. In an era of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence, the ability to navigate the digital world efficiently and securely has the significant impact on operational effectiveness; that is why we seek best practices that can serve as practical examples and inspiration, helping to set new, responsible standards in the third sector,” explains Radosław Jasiński, Program Director of  Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

How to participate in the Sector 3.0 Festival

Participation in the Festival is free of charge. We invite you to register. More information is available on social media: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.

The Festival is part of the “Sector 3.0” program of Polish-American Freedom Foundation, implemented by Information Society Development Foundation. The goal of the Sector 3.0 Festival is to inspire and showcase trends from the world of new technologies, as well as to demonstrate how to implement modern digital strategies and tools in everyday social activities. Participants are people united by a passion for discovering new technologies and sharing knowledge with others. Among them are representatives of social organizations, technology companies, the education and training sector, and the media. The Festival brings together over 50 experts from Poland and abroad. This event is not only a practical source of knowledge on the use of ICT tools, but also a space for meetings and the exchange of experiences among the community that creates socially useful solutions. Over the course of fifteen editions, the Festival has attracted over 13,000 participants and generated a total media reach of over 17.7 million.
