About the English Teaching Activities (ETAs)
ETAs path combines participation in methodological and project training sessions, and a project implementation. It is addressed to English teachers working at public kindergartens, elementary schools, or high schools at villages, and local leaders applying individually or together with a teacher.
A project in the meaning of “English Teaching” program means implementation of an interesting project for extra-curricular English classes conducted in a form that is attractive to participants, and is not related to textbooks, workbooks or marking. The project shall make a coherent, well-designed whole, with a keynote, focused on a well-defined, socially important issue.
The two-year ETA offer includes:
- Two methodical training sessions which are compulsory for English teachers and local leaders with competencies to teach English.
- Two project training sessions which are compulsory for English teachers and optional for local leaders (if needed).
- A possibility to obtain a grant and implement the project for children and/or young people by a kindergarten, school or an NGO.
- Support in project designing and implementation given by English Teaching Ambassadors, that is experienced English teachers who have already implemented “ET” program projects and participated in numerous training sessions offered by the program.
The maximum amount of project grant you can apply for will depend on the length of the project implementation time and the form of project application and can’t exceed PLN 17,000. There is no requirement of own contribution to the project, and students shall participate in classes free of charge.
