Negative effects of the present situation will last for some time after the risk to health and life of people ceases to exist. We are very glad with every initiative in the area of teaching that use every available form and method of distance education, and above all we are glad with solidarity and cooperation of teachers. Under the Educational Support Package we have planned several complementary activities that will be run over a few forthcoming months.

Self-Help Educational Group Support Fund

We have prepared an individual intervention support in the amount of up to PLN 3,500 for a group of English Teaching Ambassadors who are supporting from their own initiative their colleagues – English teachers in village and small town schools. The grant can be used to meet technical and technological needs in the area of communication with other teachers. It will allow ET Ambassadors to be more effective in helping the others in distance teaching, consulting, sharing their experience, as well as carrying out their own teaching tasks. Applications for the support will be sent by email.

New deadlines for applications and completing the projects

As a result of the present situation in education:

• We have increased the funds earmarked for implementation of local language projects;
• We have postponed the deadline for applications for “English Teaching” grants to June 30 (both in ETAs and Ambassador paths);
• We will adjust the time for project implementation to the possible school year reorganization.

Also, regulations have been changed – we offer to increase to up to 30% the amount to be spent on necessary equipment, and allow to plan technical and technological support for teachers working in distance learning mode and communicating with students under that budget heading. We also offer consulting in grant application preparing for ETAs path.

Language camps

We have increased funds earmarked for children language camps to be organized after the risk to health and life od people due to COVID-19 pandemic has ceased to exist and dates of summer break for students have been set up. Additional funds will be used for increasing the number of language camp participants, mainly those who had difficult access to learning during the distance education period.

New forms of distance education – motivational speakers

We have prepared a new formula of teaching and motivating to learn and deal with various problems. A few thousands of teachers are cooperating with the “English Teaching” Program. Many of them are sharing in various ways their experiences with their colleagues from other schools. Among our teachers and experts we have people who can act as motivational speakers. We will set up an English Teaching Motivational Speakers group. Addresses in TED ET formula will refer to issues of not only methodology and practice of English teaching but also psychology, social communication, tele-information, social cooperation, support in home schooling, etc. The lectures will be addressed to teachers and parents. We will post them on the “ET” social media and website. We will also contact the speakers with mass media representatives.
