A special program launched by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation in response to the war in Ukraine is addressed to Polish NGOs helping the civilian population in Ukraine as well as war refugees coming to Poland.
The competition is addressed to people in the age over 60 who desire to implement, alone or in cooperation with a younger person (minimum 25 years younger), a social project following their passion. The project shall be implemented from September 2024 to June 2025. The competition offers not only a possibility to receive a grant of up to PLN 17,000 but also a support in form of workshops, study visits, tutor and animator counselling at the stage of project preparation and implementation.
Date: April 24th. The debate on the biggest challenges in work of a foundation or an association manager and on how to make a decision at the time of constant change. The space for sharing experience and inspiring practices in the area of managing people, knowledge, skills or finances.
Date: June 24-26, 2024. Annual all-Poland meeting of English teachers working in schools in villages and small towns, participated by ca. 300 people from all over Poland. They take part in English teaching methodology workshops, meetings with interesting people, lectures, and presentations of supported projects. The integral part of such meeting is an exhibition presenting the offer of leading publishing houses and English teaching aids distributors.
Free full-time postgraduate courses for teachers of Polish, math, history and social sciences, as well as biology and life sciences. They last for ten months and combine academic classes and obligatory teaching practices. The offer is addressed to MA/M.Sc. graduates of university faculties of Polish studies, math, history, and biology or graduates of faculties related to biology and math, as well as teachers that have been in the profession for no more than 10 years. The SE students can apply for a scholarship that will help them cover the costs of living in Warsaw.
