    PAFF AND UW SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
     
    The objective of the program, implemented jointly with the University of Warsaw, is to prepare candidates to teacher profession. This one-year postgraduate full-time studies are addressed to graduates of MA/MSc studies in Polish language, math, biology and history. The innovative curriculum was developed in cooperation with Teachers College, Columbia University, New York. The SE runs also training sessions, seminars and e-learning courses for teachers.

    The Pro Publico Bono Competition for the Best Civic Initiative was launched in 1999 by, then, Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek. Since 2000, the Polish-American Freedom Foundation funded the competition awards. Under the program, the Foundation presently supports the Bolesław Wierzbiański Award for local newspapers, training sessions for local media journalists as part of the “Media Forum.     The Polish-American Freedom Foundation has earmarked an additional PLN 4 million to support Ukraine. In line with its earlier announcements the fast “Ukrainian path”, under the “Region in Transition” Program (RITA),  was transformed into “Support for Ukraine” - a new, special grants-giving program.
