Companies that support local communities, promote employee volunteering, and invest in education, health, diversity, and environmental protection were honored during the Final Gala of the 29th round of the “Benefactor of the Year” Competition. The ceremony took place on June 9 at the Teatr Polski in Warsaw.
For 29 years, the “Benefactor of the Year” competition has been promoting companies that treat social responsibility as an integral part of their operations. During this time, more than 200 companies and corporate foundations have received the Benefactor of the Year award for their efforts in addressing important social issues.
“The competition demonstrates that business can be an effective partner for social organizations and local communities. We recognize companies that not only achieve market success but also take responsibility for their surroundings and have a tangible impact on improving the quality of life for others,” emphasizes Paweł Łukasiak, President of the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland.

The winners were selected by the Competition Jury from among companies nominated by non-governmental organizations and those that submitted their own employee volunteer programs. Independent experts were also involved in the evaluation process, and EY oversaw the integrity of the procedures.
High-Quality Employee Volunteering Certificates
During the gala, High-Quality Employee Volunteering Certificates were also awarded to organizations that develop volunteering programs in accordance with the highest standards.

The competition was launched in 1997 by the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland. For 29 years, it has promoted social engagement and corporate social responsibility, recognized the most socially active companies, enabled non-governmental organizations to publicly thank donors and business partners, inspired entrepreneurs to engage in social activities, and provided information about social initiatives and programs implemented by companies. Polish-American Freedom Foundation is the founder of the “Benefactor of the Year” competition and a partner in the “Local Partnerships” category.
