In 2022 we extend objectives of grant competitions that have already been launched as part of the “PAFF Local Partnerships” Program to include activities aimed at offering support to refugees from Ukraine.
The following grant competitions are being held currently under the “PAFF Local Partnerships” Program:
- The main closed competition for local partnerships whose core partners are organizations that have already participated in various programs run by the Foundation. It is planned that up to 7 grants of up to PLN 80,000 each and 3 start-up grants of PLN 20,000 each will be awarded in the competition;
- The open competition for partnerships established under their own initiative which will award 4 start-up grants of PLN 20,000 each; (you can learn more about the competition here)
- The competition for projects strengthening partnerships established under former, 7th round of the program that will award 7 grants of up to PLN 15,000 each;
- The competition for alumni of 1st -6th round of the “PAFF Local Partnerships” Program with the total competition fund of PLN 100,000.
In all above-mentioned competitions we’ve decided to accept partnership projects targeted at supporting refugees from Ukraine.
The grants can be used for supporting local communities accepting refugees, integration and adaptation activities for people coming from Ukraine, such as legal, educational, psychological aid or assistance in organizing their stay in Poland and humanitarian aid. Grants can also go on organizing fundraising and collecting campaigns, costs of equipment, training and educational activities, as well as contact, coordination and information points.
Project implementers will also receive substantive support (through webinars and animator support) allowing them to carry out effectively their activities for the benefit of refugees from Ukraine.
The total fund for grants awarded in 8th round of “PAFF Local Partnerships” that will be carried out in the years 2022-2023 is almost PLN 1 million. We expect that at least 10 projects for a total amount of PLN 300,000 will be addressed to refugees from Ukraine.
These activities are a part of broader grant support for refugees from Ukraine funded by Polish-American Freedom Foundation. The details are now being developed and will be presented soon.
