Up to PLN 200,000 per #TechForGood project. Do you have an idea for solving a specific social problem using digital technologies, and are you a registered nonprofit organization? Apply to the Sector 3.0 Fund to receive funding and mentoring support for the implementation of your product or service. We are accepting applications until October 25, 2026.
The fund is part of the “Sector 3.0” program of Polish-American Freedom Foundation, implemented by the Information Society Development Foundation. Its goal is to support the creation of new digital products and services that align with the “technology for the common good” movement. This concept encompasses, for example, issues related to sustainable development, climate and environmental protection, equal opportunity, assistance for people with disabilities, health, education on online safety, and more. A key requirement is the use of technology to solve a specific social problem, as well as the alignment of the solution with the social mission of the organization behind the idea.
“The Sector 3.0 Fund primarily offers support in developing the concept for a new digital product. For the best teams, we also provide funding that will enable them to quickly bring their solution to market. This year’s round of the Fund has a total of 200,000 zlotys available,” explains Dr. Dawid Szarański, Director of the Sector 3.0 program.
What awaits participants in the Sector 3.0 Fund incubation program?
As part of the incubation process, which will once again be hybrid in nature this year, the founders will take part in a three-month series of training sessions and product workshops designed to help them refine their idea and develop a cohesive concept. Ten mentors, as well as volunteers with experience in UX design, will support the participants as they work on their solutions.
The main part of the incubation process will take place online and will involve developing and acquiring skills in areas, such as experimentation and research tools, creating a business model for a social project, designing user flows, prototyping and sketching product concepts, sales, intellectual property and cybersecurity, and skills related to presenting an idea (a pitch).
The culmination of the three-month program will be a grand finale, during which teams will present their solutions to a panel of experts, who will decide on the allocation of financial support. The panel consists of: Mirosław Czyżewski (Polish-American Freedom Foundation), Bartosz Borowiec (Deloitte Digital), Patrycja Walencik (Zendesk), Jacek Królikowski (Information Society Development Foundation), and Dr. Magdalena Andrejczuk (mBank). The highest-rated teams will be eligible to receive up to PLN 200,000 in funding for further development of their projects.
“The Sector 3.0 Fund is an incredible space for sharing all kinds of inspiration with people from diverse backgrounds. We are witnessing growing awareness among nongovernmental organizations regarding the use of new technologies for the common good,” says Mirosław Czyżewski, Program Officer at Polish-American Freedom Foundation and a member of the Fund’s Expert Committee.
Paweł Nowak, Katarzyna Drożdżal, and Agata Nowak will once again provide substantive guidance for the incubation process. In addition, this year’s group of mentors for the Fund includes: Van Anh Dam (social entrepreneurship educator), Jakub Jedliński (Startup Hub Poland), Aleksandra Maciejewicz (LAWMORE), Katarzyna Janota (INNOAGH), Adam Liwiński (Seriatim Foundation), Martyna Bielak (Cancer Research UK), and Kuba Orlik (Internet. Time to Act! Foundation).
Who can apply?
We invite the creators of new social solutions to participate. The Sector 3.0 Fund is aimed at any social organization that has an idea for a new technology in the spirit of #TechForGood but doesn’t know where to start implementing it or lacks the financial resources to do so. The project team should consist of 2 to 5 people and have the status of an association or foundation. We also encourage mixed teams — composed of representatives of organizations, companies, or independent specialists in the tech industry — working in partnerships to apply.
How to apply to the Sector 3.0 Fund?
Team applications for this year’s round of the incubation process are accepted via the form on the Sector 3.0 Fund website until October 25, 2026.
