On January 25, the ceremony of presenting this year’s Kirkland Research scholarship holders with their diplomas was held at the Center of East European Studies, University of Warsaw.
The guests attending the ceremony were welcomed by Renata Koźlicka-Glińska of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, Agata Wierzbowska-Miazga and Urszula Sobiecka of the Leaders of Change Foundation, and Prof. Andrzej Żbikowski of the Center of East European Studies.
The following four participants of Kirkland Research received their diplomas:
- Olena Syzonenko (Jagiellonian University in Kraków);
- Marian Łopata (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań);
- Vasyl Zalizko (Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics);
- Oleksandr Popov (University of Wroclaw);
During the ceremony, the scholarship holders presented the results of their research projects which they had performed under the Kirkland Research path with assistance of their tutors.
Kirkland Research is an additional path established in 2016. It offers short-term research internships at Polish universities to people with well-established academic position. Since its inception, Kirkland Research program has been completed by nine participants.
