Registration for the “Weekends with English Teaching” training sessions is open through September 30 for English teachers working in public preschools and schools at all levels, located in rural areas and in towns with populations of up to 20,000.
The “Weekends with English Teaching” methodological and language training sessions cover a wide range of topics—from interactive and creative methods for teaching English, to methods for working with children with special educational needs, workshops on motivating students to learn English, building positive self-esteem, and fostering healthy relationships with others, to training sessions aimed at improving the teachers’ own language skills—including fluency and ease of expression—and expanding their vocabulary.
During the training sessions, teachers also have the opportunity to learn about digital challenges, including information assertiveness and “media literacy,” as well as learn how to integrate topics related to so-called global education into English language instruction—such as environmental and climate protection, sustainable development, and migration.
“Weekends with English Teaching” attract enormous interest every year because they combine methodological knowledge with its practical application in teachers’ work. To date, 175 such training sessions have been held, with a total of over 8,000 participants,” says Agnieszka Mazur, Program Director at Polish-American Freedom Foundation, encouraging participation.
During the 2026–2027 school year, four training sessions will be held: three on teaching methodology and one intensive language training session. Each session consists of 18 hours of workshops and runs from Friday through Sunday. The sessions are led by experienced trainers and practitioners who have been associated with the “English Teaching” program for many years.
The costs of training, materials, lodging, and meals are financed by Polish-American Freedom Foundation as part of the “English Teaching” program, which is managed by the NIDA Nidzica Development Foundation.
